summer evenings at the ballpark.

There’s a new team in town, and summer in Kokomo just got even better.

Say hello to the Kokomo Creek Chubs, Kokomo’s newest addition to the baseball scene. Launching their inaugural season in 2026, the Creek Chubs bring fresh energy, hometown pride, and plenty of family-friendly fun to the heart of the city.

Baseball is Back in Kokomo

After a pause in local summer collegiate baseball, the return of the game marks an exciting new chapter. The Creek Chubs are part of the Prospect League, a respected collegiate summer league known for showcasing top college talent from across the country.

That means visitors can expect high-quality baseball in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for fans of all ages.

A Ballpark Experience You’ll Love

Home games take place at Kokomo Municipal Stadium, a modern, 4,000-seat facility located right in downtown Kokomo. The stadium is located in downtown Kokomo at 400 S. Union St.

But it’s more than just baseball. A night at the ballpark is an experience:

  • Grab classic ballpark snacks or local favorites
  • Let the kids run, play, and enjoy between innings
  • Soak in a laid-back summer evening under the lights

It’s the kind of outing that turns into a tradition.

Why “Creek Chubs”?

The name might make you smile, and that’s part of the fun. The creek chub is a small fish native to Indiana waterways, including the nearby Wildcat Creek.

It’s a nod to Kokomo’s natural surroundings and local character, giving the team a name that’s uniquely, unmistakably Kokomo.

Make It Part of Your Visit

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or just passing through, catching a Creek Chubs game is an easy way to experience the local vibe. Pair it with dinner downtown, a stroll along nearby trails, or a visit to Kokomo’s shops and attractions for a full day of fun.

From first pitch to final out, the Kokomo Creek Chubs offer more than just a game, they deliver a true Kokomo experience.
